Mother Karen’s Children Home
A Safe Haven for Vulnerable Children
Mother Karen’s Children Home, established in 2007, is a vital part of Good Samaritan Ministries’ mission to care for orphaned and abandoned children. Named in memory of Tamara Slavik’s mother, our home provides a nurturing environment where children can grow, learn, and thrive.
Our Mission
Our mission is to provide a loving and supportive home for children in need. We aim to meet their physical, emotional, and educational needs while instilling values of compassion, respect, and faith. At Mother Karen’s Children Home, every child is treated with dignity and given the opportunity to build a brighter future.
What We Offer
- Safe Accommodation: Our home provides a secure and comfortable living environment where children can feel safe and cared for.
- Nutritional Support: We ensure that all children receive healthy meals, promoting their physical well-being and growth.
- Education: We prioritize the education of our residents, providing access to quality schooling and tutoring. Our vocational training programs prepare older children for future employment.
- Emotional and Spiritual Support: Our dedicated staff offers love and guidance, helping children navigate their feelings and develop a strong sense of self-worth. We also integrate spiritual teachings to nurture their faith.
- Recreational Activities: We believe in the importance of play and social interaction. Our home includes recreational programs that encourage teamwork, creativity, and physical fitness.
Impact on Lives
Since its establishment, Mother Karen’s Children Home has provided refuge and support to numerous children. Many of our residents have gone on to achieve academic success and secure stable employment, breaking the cycle of poverty and creating a better future for themselves and their families.
